The former Cutty Sark Hotel overlooking Lake Kariba has been completely renovated and now offers a range of tourism facilities and services for visitors to Kariba Town - including: self-catering apartments, flats and lodges, basic rooms, a bistro/restaurant, bar and on-site supermarket. Here are more details:-
WALLACE BLOCK: 1-bedroom, self-catering flats for couples. This block acommodate couples in three open-plan self-catering units. All are en-suite and fully air-conditioned, with private balconies that look towards the sunrise. A small forest of trees outside gives good shade during the day and provides a haven for birdlife.
MOODY BLOCK: (double storey) Self-catering 2 or 3 bedroom apartments. Newly refurbished, affordable, serviced, 2 or 3 bedroom suites, designed for self-catering visitors. All have en-suite bathrooms and a kitchenette dining/lounge area with views overlooking Lake Kariba.
MOORE BLOCK: Self-catering 4-bedroom lodge. This stand-alone facility sleeps up to 8 people with 4 bedrooms en-suite, a large open plan kitchen, bar and living area with stunning views over the lake. All rooms are air-conditioned, but the living area has wide sliding doors to catch the lake breeze.
FISHERMAN'S COVE: self-catering exclusive-use lodge - sleeps 16:
Within the grounds of the Cutty Sark premises is a private lodge called Fisherman’s Cove nestled under shady trees overlooking Lake Kariba but within easy access to the Cutty Sark facilities. The lodge is available on an exclusive-use self-catering basis. It has 8 bedrooms, sleeping a maximum of 16 people, and is fully equipped and serviced, with a swimming pool and barbeque area in the garden.
WILLIS BLOCK: Basic Rooms (Bed only)
Simple accommodation is also available at Cutty Sark with basic rooms all with air-conditioning and en suite bathrooms. These are sold on a bed-only basis (not self-catering) but are ideal for guests who want to stay just one night.
BISTRO, BAR and Crispy Fresh SUPERMARKET:
All visitors at any of the accommodation facilities at Cutty Sark may make use of The Galley Bistro, which supplies simple but well priced tasty meals from a terraced verandah with a spectacular view overlooking Lake Kariba. The Rats Bar is also a popular watering hole situated on the premises. The well stocked Crispy Fresh Supermarket on site provides a wide range of food and drinks available to the public or to guests staying in the Cutty Sark self-catering facilities. You can pre-order in advance and items will be placed in your fridge/freezer waiting your arrival.
Crispy Fresh also supplies catering for houseboats.

Wonderful hotel in an outstanding location. My daughter and I had a wonderful stay at Cutty Sark. Our room was right by the water's edge and the chef made great effort to accommodation our vegan food preference.

Dear Jackie and Mark. Thank you both so much for arranging such a wonderful 'special offer' break away for us to visit Kariba.
We had such a marvellous time and were so thankful that we did not have to drive ourselves on that dreadful busy road.
Our young chauffeur Dillon was an extremely careful driver and what a pleasant caring and helpful young man he is. The fact that transport was available for us to do a little sightseeing was an added bonus. Our accommodation was lovely and comfortable and what a lovely view of the lake we had. The food delicious and your staff could not have been more helpful and kind to us "oldies".
All in all it was a holiday one dreams of having everything done for you. Wish we could have stayed longer. Having your well stocked little shop there too is so handy.
