Located on a private concession, bordering the Zambezi National Park and just 7kms from the town of Victoria Falls, Masuwe Lodge is surrounded by spectacular natural bushland and wildlife. Here you can enjoy the best of both worlds; safari styled accommodation and experiences with easy access to the wonders of the World Heritage listed Victoria Falls.
At the heart of Masuwe, the main lodge building offers views over a small water-hole, the often dry Masuwe River and into the National Park beyond. Throughout the day guests are welcomed by our friendly team; to relax by the pool, enjoy breakfast, lunch and dinner or just sit back to relish the view with a cocktail in hand. Breakfast comprises a continental buffet with cooked options to order. Lunch is a casual affair on the deck, while sunset drinks and a 3-course dinner are hosted against a changing colour palate as the rich orange of sunset softens to a golden glow and later to a star studded inky night over the wilderness beyond. Our chefs provide contemporary cuisine, layered with African flavours.
Our ten Wilderness Tents combine thatch and canvas with an en suite stone bathroom and a private deck with comfortable seating and views of the bush where wildlife roams.
Just the one Honeymoon Hide-Away is tucked in a private spot overlooking a small water hole. With double the floor space and a lovely big deck our Hide-Away has an indoor double shower, with a view, and an outdoor bathtub for two.
The Family Nest is named for the weaver bird nests that hang in the trees around the lodge. Both the parents retreat at the top of the stairs and the smaller kid’s bedroom have a private bathroom. There is also a living room, mini kitchen, an outdoor deck, family plunge pool and a braai (BBQ) area.
Masuwe offers both a fully-catered (all inclusive) accommodation option or half-board (Dinner Bed and Breakfast only).
Magical Masuwe experiences include game drives in the Chamabonda Vlei and Zambezi National Park; guided game walks on our private sanctuary; guided tours of Victoria Falls and informal town time so that guests may shop for mementos and soak up the town’s happy vibe. For guests wanting to tackle some of the regions adventure activities or just relax on a river cruise, Masuwe guides will provide transfers.

I stayed at Masuwe Lodge as part of the Mindful Safari program and it was one of the best experiences ever. Everything about Masuwe Lodge was first class, from the location (who else can say they can look over a balcony and see elephants, giraffes, buffalo, baboons and vervet monkeys?) , to the accommodation, the staff, the food, the game drives, absolutely everything!! I have already been recommending Masuwe Lodge to friends in Australia who are thinking of travelling to this part of Africa. Fingers crossed I'll be able to come back to Zimbabwe again and, I know when I do, I'll be headed back to my home away from home, Masuwe Lodge.

If you're planning a trip to Victoria Falls during your safari, don't miss an opportunity to stay at Masuwe Lodge. Casius and his staff were incredibly friendly and hospitable. This all-inclusive safari lodge is charming, very comfortable and well-equipped with amenities. The service was excellent, and the food was outstanding. Although our time there was short, it was truly memorable. Thank you to the team at Masuwe Lodge for making this a wonderful vacation!

At Masuwe Lodge, we were wrapped in luxury and tradition, greeted warmly with lively drums and dances, symbolizing the vibrant spirit of Victoria Falls. Our rooms were a picture of elegance, with balconies showcasing breathtaking views and the beautiful details, such as large, immaculate beds, spoke volumes about the care put into our comfort. The sight of elephants and a majestic giant eagle owl from the deck was enchanting. The staff, with their warmth and sharing of local games, made us feel like family, and the exquisite local cuisine was a delight, making our stay a beautiful mosaic of unforgettable moments.

Victoria Falls Paradise. Masuwe is a beautiful lodge with 10 rooms on the edge of the Zambezi Park.
The lodge is superb overlooking a waterhole that was visited by the elephants every day.
The rooms, restaurant, bar and pool was great and the staff couldn't do enough and I can't recommend this lodge enough.
