ZHPGA - Zimbabwe Professional Hunters & Guides Association
ZPHGA is the private sector Association which assists in the training and examining of professional hunters and safari guides. It is a legal requirement that all activities in the wilderness be accompanied by a trained Professional Guide (or Hunter). Training comprises a series of examinations held by National Parks & Wildlife Management Authority, and a two year apprenticeship under the tutorship of the holder of a Full Licence from National Parks. Visitors should check that their safari guide is a holder of this professional qualification.

SOAZ - Safari Operators Association of ZimbabweSOAZ is the private sector Association which assists its Safari Operator members in the business running of their operations. Members' activities include photographic safaris and accommodation in the wilderness, as well as hunting operations in designated areas. SOAZ will assist prospective visitors in obtaining information on activities available.
