Discover Safaris, and its localised operation Discover Victoria Falls are owned by respected local guide Charles Brightman, widely known for his conservation and wildlife work as well as his guiding skills. He and his experienced tourism team based in Victoria Falls, have collectively over 90 years of experience in the safari business!

Victoria Falls town is surrounded by National Park and the Victoria Falls themselves are listed as a World Heritage Site. "Big game" is plentiful, from elephant and buffalo on the outskirts of town to hippopotamus and crocodile in the river, all with a spectacular variety of birds, reptiles, insects and other wildlife.

Discover Safaris, specialises in authentic, special interest Private Guided Safaris (including walking safaris and specialist wildlife and birding tours), as well as customised accommodation and safari itineraries in Victoria Falls and surrounding areas, including Hwange National Park.  Safari options in the Victoria Falls area and in the nearby Zambezi National Park, include bush walks, game drives, guided visits to the Siduli Hide and Zambezi lunch/brunch safaris.

One of the companies' goals during their authentic safaris is to share their passion for Zimbabwe and its wildlife to their guests. By supporting Discover Safaris, you are also actively supporting wildlife conservation through their close work with the Victoria Falls Anti-Poaching Unit (VFAPU) which Charles established in 1999 and which he has developed into a very well respected anti-poaching initiative.

Discover Victoria Falls offers a wide variety of activity options for visitors to the Victoria Falls - from adrenalin activities such as white water rafting and bungee jumping, boat cruises and canoeing on the Zambezi River above the Falls, helicopter flights over Victoria Falls and much more.

We recently used Discover Safaris/Discover Victoria Falls to book a family safari for my husband ,myself ,my husband's two children and their families too. Ages ranging from 6yrs to 69yrs! We cannot fault the package that Discover Safari suggested and put together. We had 2 nights at The Kingdom while we got over the long flight and investigated what Vic Falls had to offer . We then were taken to Hwange National Park - staying at the Hide - which was the most amazing experience for any extended family. They have a special part of the Lodge called Tom's Little Hide which is specifically for families. Every single aspect of our needs were catered for! Pasta was cooked especially for the children as it is their favourite whilst the adults had a more sophisticated type of food! All meals were absolutely delicious! The accommodation was perfect, one section was two rooms linked - one with two singles and a double. The other was two rooms - one double and one two singles with the living area in between. My husband and I had a separate tent. Each evening a fire pit was lit for us to sit around as a family after supper and the plunge pool was a perfect size for returning to after our game drives. At ALL time we could watch animals coming to the water hole which was right in front of our tents. This was a truly amazing few days thanks to Discover Safaris. We asked for their advise and they did a first class job of advising! Would fully recommend their expertise!

To walk with Charles through the amazing Zambezi National Park upstream from Victoria Falls is a real treat. His evident love and understanding of the bush, his extraordinary knowledge and a wonderful ability to identify and explain, make for an engaging and fascinating ramble. Our time together was meant to span three hours but true to his enthusiastic and generous nature, lasted well over five. Thanks very much Charles ~ we are looking forward to next time!

If you are a lover of nature and wilderness, you couldn't have a better choice of guide to show you round the Victoria Falls and its beautiful Zambezi National Park, than Charles Brightman. His passion and devotion to conserving this place is extraordinary. Don't miss an early morning game-drive and walk in the Park with Charles.
