Gus Alexander & guests on the Sunpath canoe trail

Gus Alexander & guests on the Sunpath canoe trail

A brief catch up from Craig Chittenden of Sunpath Safaris in Zimbabwe:-

Welcome to Gus and Sandy Alexander: We are very pleased to welcome Gus and Sandy to the Sunpath Safaris team. Gus is Zimbabwe born and bred and attained his professional guide's licence in 1994. He has worked extensively in Zimbabwe, Kenya, Tanzania and Namibia and has over 15 years experience in guiding, camp management and camp building. With an unrivalled knowledge of flora and fauna Gus is most at home in Mana Pools where he shares his knowledge and love of the bush with Sunpath guests. Gus is rather unique in that he also holds a professional canoe guide's licence and has vast experience in conducting canoe trails down the Zambezi River.

Gus is joined by his better half, Sandy, who has taken over the role of Food and Beverage Manager. Sandy also has travelled extensively with Gus and has vast experience in providing her brand of culinary delights to guests at various bush camps. Gus and Sandy live in Kariba which makes the logistics of getting camps set up much easier.

Canoeing equipment upgrade:  We have recently obtained new canoes and camp equipment for our Chirundu to Mana Pools canoe trails. This is a 4 day, 3 night semi- participatory safari and gives an unparalleled opportunity to experience the Zambezi River. We have the unique opportunity to conduct walks from our lunch time spots on the river as Gus holds a pro walking licence. Kariba to Kanyemba canoe safaris can also be run on request
Please contact us if you would like any further info on our tented camps on the Zambezi or at Chitake Springs, canoeing safaris or general info on Zimbabwe.  See this link: http://www.wildzambezi.com/search-detail.cfm?Company=36&SG=999
