Robins Camp is situated in the rugged northern basalt area of the park, which is rich in natural water with seeps and springs dotting the area.

Robins Camp is home to some of Africa’s last great buffalo herds, with groups of over 2,000 still seen. Its abundant prey supports the park’s highest lion concentration. The area also hosts reedbuck, roan, sable, tsessebe, elephants, and other wildlife, with frequent sightings of cheetahs and wild dogs. The diverse landscape includes hills, rocky outcrops, and seasonal vleis, making it a haven for wildlife enthusiasts. Visitors of all ages are welcome, with options for self-drive or guided trips.

My husband and I stayed at Robin's Camp for 2 nights as part of our honeymoon trip in January 2025. Since it was low tourist season, we were the only guests besides a small family that were utilizing the camp site. The staff were truly such kind and welcoming people, and they made our short stay very special for us. Our room was well equipped with a private bathroom and mosquito net. The bed was comfortable, but it does get hot in the room even with the fan going. We did 3 game drives while we were there during which we saw elephants, giraffes, hippos, and more! Simon was our guide, and he shared a lot of knowledge about the different animals we saw. Shoutout to Marcy, Emmanuel, Prichard, and the rest of the staff who were amazing! We really enjoyed getting to know everyone while we were there. On our last night the chefs prepared a special cake and the staff celebrated with us for our honeymoon!

I was camping at Robin's Camp in December 2024. From arrival to departure, staff was super friendly, and they make you feel welcomed and home even if you are staying at the camp site. Clean big pool, nice food at the restaurant, clean abolutions on the camp site and I liked the board where they announced the menu for the day. Although it was raining, the roads around camp were accessible and I had great sightings. Plus I heard lions every night! What a feeling to fall asleep to the sound of a roaring lion! During my stay, I had a minor issue with my car. The maintenance team fixed it in no time.

Lovely camp in a special part of Hwange National Park. |We spent Christmas at Robins Camp and had a lovely experience. The staff are all incredibly friendly and welcoming, the service and food are both excellent and the festive extras were much appreciated. We stayed in a Mopane Chalet on full board. The chalet was comfortable and clean and had a lovely, powerful shower. We took two game drives, both were very well guided and interesting. Game is hard to find at this time of year, but the guide was knowledgeable, and we saw enough to keep us interested. The 3 cheetahs were the highlight. We will definitely visit again, the camp is great value. Thank you to all the staff for a very special Christmas.

Most of all Lue was an amazing guide, so knowledgeable, kind and friendly. We had the privilege of going on 5 game drives with him and seen so many animals only 2-3 meters away! We were all so excited Lions, elephants, Giraffes, Cheetahs, Kudo, Impalas, wild cat, crocodiles, hippos and any birds. We would love to return in the future and wish you all the very best.

Unique, brilliant, unforgettable. Robins Camp was the first place to stay on our 2-weeks-Journey and couldn't have been better. Beautiful accommodation, friendly and professional staff, stunning views. Our guide Lue made the experience unique, brilliant, unforgettable, his knowledge of the animals and plants seemed to be endless, his driving skills are brilliant. Plus, he is the most funny, friendly, caring guy one can image. Thank you, Lue, for everything!
